Frustrated? Confused? Hurt? Angry? Disappointed? Sad?
If you care about somebody who is engaged in possible addictive behaviors then these words can be all too familiar to you.

At the Addiction Institute we know that the only thing worse than being actively addicted to a substance or behavior is loving someone who is actively addicted.

Hard to believe? It’s true. Most addicts spend less time in hospitals or doctor's offices than the people who care about them. And not surprisingly the causes of these doctor's vists are often stress-related illnesses.

The staff at the Addiction Institute are not only trained in addictions but also in working with family members and concerned others of the addict. We know and understand the unique dynamics involved in living with or caring about an active addict.

Understanding the addictive process is vital for anyone wanting to break the cycle of addiction, whether the addiction is a loved one’s or your own.

Is your young child, adolescent or young adult child showing possible signs of being affected by anothers addictive behaviors? We have staff who specialize in working with these specific age groups and populations.
